1993, Poonch, a small town in Kashmir has films banned by the extremists for three years. Bullets hit the walls every night during cross firings, which Hameed collects and sells to earn money to go to Jammu one day to watch a film in the theatres. One fine day, Rajan, the hero of that town comes back who had gone to Mumbai to become a film star. Although a failure, he is the bridge to cinema for Hameed and together they go on a rollercoaster ride to make a film. It tries to tell the simple story of human emotions and a common man's love for cinema even during extreme situations.
